Mariano Serratore has been appointed as the new chair of the COSMOS-standard board.
We are thrilled to announce that Mariano Serratore was appointed as the new chair of the COSMOS-standard board in Brussels on 18 June 2024.
Mariano brings extensive experience and expertise in the fields of organic and sustainable certification, having worked in this sector since 2005. His impressive career includes roles such as auditor, quality manager, project manager, lean system manager, innovation manager and business and risk management. Since 2020, Mariano has been a key part of the ICEA General Management Office, and in April 2022, he was appointed as the ICEA Technical Director, with the function to Management and optimization of resources and processes for regulated and voluntary certification schemes.
Mariano’s journey has also seen him take on the role of Managing Director of ICEA Certification India Private Limited and contribute significantly to the Leading Organic Alliance (LOA), among other prominent positions.
Mariano is also Board member of other international non-profit organizations: Natureplus, the international association for sustainable construction and living; Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) on sustainable Mineral for cosmetics and industrial sector (guest Board Member), and International Accredited Certification Bodies (IACB), Accredited CBs Network.
We are confident that Mariano's leadership will drive COSMOS-standard to new heights, ensuring the continued growth and integrity of organic and natural cosmetics standards globally.
